The 18 degrees cold… winter months are already behind us here in Cyprus and as we are moving into warmer spring days, we would like to thank all our swimming friends that have chosen to train in Cyprus with ARENA DMC & Sports Division in the outdoors 50m-Coral Olympic Pool in the first 3 months of 2006

Looking back in the middle of February when even in Cyprus temperatures could hardly climb over 16 degrees in the early 06:30 morning sessions, it was a spectacle indeed to watch the
28 degrees warm, Coral Olympic Pool literally steaming!!!

More of a spectacle (for us at least) were of course the hundreds of young swimmers and triathletes from the UK, Germany, and Scandinavia who (in contrast with us shivery & heavily dressed Cypriot-ARENA Team members) looked extremely comfortable in their suits and not troubled at all to swim in the 28 degrees warm pool.

A “fully loaded” breakfast to come either in the luxurious 5 star Coral Beach Hotel & Resort or at the category A Paphos Gardens Apartments in the town of Paphos, was of course a big treat and motive for swimmers & coaches alike and by then temperatures, with the exception of a few days, were already hitting the 20’s giving all our friends the opportunity to think of their afternoon sessions relaxing & tanning by the leisure pool.
