Golf Courses

Cyprus’s round the year mild weather conditions, high standards of accommodation- most of which with some of the best spa facilities in the Mediterranean and wide variety of entertainment / sightseeing possibilities make the island an ideal destination for golfing.

There are currently three 18-hole golf courses on the island, which are all situated in the area of Paphos.

Aphrodite Golf Course

Situated in a stunning location near Paphos overlooking the Mediterranean, the magnificent Aphrodite Hills Golf course takes its name from the birthplace of Aphrodite which it overlooks.

The golf course was designed by Cabell Robinson and was officially opened on 2nd November 2002. Surrounded by protected forest, the golf course comprises 2 plateaux separated by a dramatic ravine, which gives players the unique opportunity to tee off across it at certain points. The course is par 71/70 and its length is 6,299m.

Secret Valley Golf Course

Secret Valley lies in a scenic valley with grand trees adding maturity to the fairly new course. The strikingly colorful natural rock formations offer panoramic vies to golfers. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6120 meters.

Secret valley promises players both the beauty of nature and the pleasure of golf. The front nine offer four nice holes for warming up, two birdie opportunities and an easy dogleg (if you know how) The back nine, plays longer than the first nine and the challenge starts immediately. Practice facilities include putting greens, chipping areas fairway bunkers and a large driving range.

Tsada Golf Club

The Tsada golf club, the first grass court to be built in Cyprus, was completed in April 1994. Located just 20 minutes from Paphos town, on an elevated position 550 meters above sea level. It ensures cool breezes during the summer months.

Historically it has been part of the monastery “Stavros tis minthis “, which gives an air of timeless romance. From the 7th tee, often a monk may be seen in the garden of the monastery. The 18th hole course, designed by Donald Steel, in two loops of nine, reveal the subtle hand of a man who always allows the course to blend into its natural surroundings. It plays to a par 72 and measures 6060 meters, a fine test for players of all abilities. A driving range, 2 putting areas, a pitching / chipping area and practice bunkers give you the opportunity to warm up for the game in the course.
